In our early years of marriage and definitely before kids Yvonne and I spent much of our spare time travelling around Victoria in our Suzuki Sierra enjoying the fantastic places you could go in a 4WD. Unfortunately once the kids came along the Suzuki was retired in favour of a family station wagon and for nearly 6 years we missed out on those trips we enjoyed so much. Having finally upgraded to a larger 4WD wagon in 1997 we decided it was time to hit the road again.
Before our trip through Central Australia in June/July 1999 I spent many hours searching the net gathering information about items as diverse as good Caravan Parks and fuel requirements.
Now that we have completed that trip and others I decided to publish notes about our trips. Included are tips we have picked up on the way in the hope that the information may be of use to others planning similar trips
.Commencing in June 1999 this site covers our 4WD trips to various and varied locations throughout our home state of Victoria as well as the classic Australian Adventure destinations such as the Simpson Desert (June 1999 and planned for August 2000) and Cape York (planned for 2001)
